Trophy Whitetail Hunting

The 2010 - 2011 Whitetail season is booked, but please contact us to inquire about the 2011 - 2012 season.

Rancho Ojo de Agua features some of the finest hunting and accommodations in all of Northern Mexico. Our region is known for exceptional whitetail deer genetics. Our hunters consistently take deer scoring between 160 and 200 B&C. During the 2007-2008 season, our three best trophies scored 193, 180, and 170.
The vegetation and terrain at Rancho Ojo de Agua make an ideal habitat for trophy whitetail deer. Across the 28,000 acres the terrain varies greatly, from rolling hills to dirt flats to deep rocky arroyos with steep cliffs. A dry riverbed (the Arroyo de la Zorra) runs through the middle of the ranch. There is plentiful water throughout the ranch with many dirt tanks and evenly dispersed water troughs. The abundant guajillo, blackbrush, cenizo, mesquite, huisache, guayacan and prickly pear provide low groundcover that allow for spectacular visibility and excellent nutrition and cover for the deer.

Though recently renovated, Rancho Ojo de Agua's ranch house is a true escape from modern distractions such as telephone, television, or internet. No high-fences, transmission lines, or even pipeline senderros scar the distinct beauty of the landscape. Hunting on Rancho Ojo de Agua offers one of the purest whitetail hunting experiences available.
Rancho Ojo de Agua provides a cook for all meals, ranch hands to dress the game, and cleaning staff for your entire stay, allowing you to completely focus on the hunt. Crossing guns is quick and easy, and Rancho Ojo de Agua personnel manage the entire process for you. Nearby Acuña remains a popular tourist destination for Americans looking to enjoy great shopping and restaurants on and near Hidalgo Street.
